New Dexie Cloud Docs + sneak peak of Management app

As the production release of dexie cloud is nearer than ever, the docs have been updated to reflect latest cloud and client versions. The updated docs are:

• the new REST api endpoint /users that allows integrations to manage their users — specifically the option to upgrade individual users to production.
• complete docs on the Client Side API
• JSX code example on how to provide a custom login GUI (requires latest dexie-cloud-addon)
• Example app updated with a License Warning Notification to show your evaluation users that are about to expire or have expired and advertise them to an URL where they can request a production license from you.

New subscription model has been released

The new subscription model that was blogged about earlier has been released and all customer databases and their end-users were migrated in October. A management app is soon to be released together with the production service. Until then, the service will continue to be free to use for all customers.

At the release date, which as of current estimation would be in early december 2023, it will be possible to purchase a real production license and use the Management tool or the /users REST endpoint to lift their eval users into production accounts. A new blog post and a new newsletter will describe clearly what actions will need to be taken in at least 2 months ahead so that you will have time to take action. If not taking any action at all during that time, the service will continue but end users won’t be able to sync their local changes to the cloud until you lift them to production using the new management app or the REST API. They will still be able to login from any device and get a pull sync, but their changes won’t sync back.
